Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Neurological Surgeon for an exciting 30-day assignment in Illinois, starting Jul 6, 2026. This role involves comprehensive general neurosurgery, including the management of cranial and spinal trauma, intracranial hemorrhage, and various other complex neurological procedures during day shifts from 7a-5p. The ideal Physician will provide critical care for adults and geriatrics, with some adolescent and pediatric cases primarily stemming from trauma.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage general neurosurgery cases, including cranial and spinal trauma.
  • Address intracranial hemorrhage and facilitate the placement of external ventricular drains.
  • Treat hydrocephalus and perform craniotomies for the evacuation of hematomas or tumors.
  • Execute spinal procedures such as decompressions and instrumentation as indicated.
  • Manage a diverse patient population, primarily adults and geriatrics, with a small percentage of adolescent and pediatric cases, mainly related to trauma.
  • Provide inpatient and acute practice services at a Trauma facility.
  • Handle hospital service patient consults, averaging 6.75 new consults daily, with a list varying from 15-40 per day, typically around 25.
  • Perform 4-8 added surgical cases per week from call responsibilities.


Additional Information
