Job Description

We are actively seeking a skilled Neurologist to join our client in TX for an 8-day assignment, commencing May 30, 2026. This vital role involves treating patients within a department at a Trauma facility, managing approximately 5 patient encounters per shift, and utilizing the Medhost EMR system. The selected Physician will handle a comprehensive range of neurological duties, including diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide expert neurological care at a Trauma Level 4 facility.
  • Manage patient encounters, averaging 5 per shift, within a 20-bed department.
  • Utilize the Medhost EMR system for documentation and patient management.
  • Maintain required certifications in ACLS and BLS.
  • Conduct preferred procedures including radiologic exam interpretation (unofficial), diagnostic/therapeutic taps, lumbar puncture, subdural taps, thrombolytic therapy, nerve biopsy, muscle biopsy, EEG, brain death exams, EMG, NCV, and evoked potentials.
  • Administer pain management procedures, peripheral nerve blocks, spinal/paraspinal/epidural blocks, and botulinum toxin (Botox).
  • Perform sleep studies and disability evaluations.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Neurology required.
  • EMR System: Medhost.
