Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Obstetrician/Gynecologist for a 16-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Jan 1, 2026. This opportunity features 24-hour call coverage with a primary focus on GYN cases and women’s health emergencies, including rare emergency C-sections. The assignment is ideal for a physician with strong gynecologic skills and C-section experience, as deliveries are handled elsewhere and the role is predominantly GYN-focused.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide care for women’s health emergencies and GYN cases
  • Perform emergency C-sections as needed
  • Respond to urgent gynecologic situations
  • Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Additional Information
  • Active California medical license required
  • Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required
  • GYN and C-section experience strongly preferred
  • Assignment is 90 percent GYN with very rare OB cases due to all births occurring offsite
