We are seeking an experienced Obstetrician/Gynecologist for a locum tenens assignment in California, starting Jan 29, 2026. This 5-day opportunity requires 24-hour call coverage with shifts from 7a to 7a, handling high-volume deliveries and triage as the sole OB on call in the district's only labor and delivery facility.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Manage 7-18 triages and 1-7 deliveries/C-sections per day (average of 3)
  • Serve as the sole OB on call, with additional coverage for overlapping dates
  • Provide care in a high-volume setting (2200 deliveries per year, 32 percent C-section rate)
  • Deliver care to a high Hispanic population
  • Respond to obstetric emergencies and perform C-sections
  • Participate in both in-house and out-of-house call as required

Additional Information
  • California medical license required
  • Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required
  • Experience in a rural setting preferred
