Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician for a 26-day locum tenens assignment starting Feb 25, 2026, in California. This role involves providing comprehensive gynecological services including well-woman care, prenatal and postpartum care, managing labor and delivery, and addressing various women's health concerns within clinic hours of 7:30a-5:00p.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide gynecological services including well-woman care, annual Pap smears and pelvic exams, and hysterectomies
- Offer health education, STD screenings, follow-up contraceptive counseling, prenatal care, postpartum care, and menopause care
- Provide comprehensive care to expectant mothers throughout their pregnancies, monitoring the health of both the mother and fetus
- Manage labor and delivery, whether vaginal or via cesarean section
- Diagnose and treat conditions like infections, menstrual problems, and menopause-related issues
- Prescribe medications, offer patient counseling and support
- Collaborate with healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient encounters
- Formulate a working diagnosis, develop and implement treatment plans
- Evaluate patients who have returned from off-site treatment
- Schedule and perform laboratory and diagnostic procedures
