Job Description
Our client in California seeks an Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician for an 11-day assignment commencing Mar 6, 2026. This role requires 24-hour call coverage with shifts from 7a-7a, primarily managing inpatient calls for vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and GYN surgeries. The ideal candidate will handle a high volume of triages and deliveries in a busy labor and delivery unit.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide in-house or out-of-house call coverage.
- Manage 7-18 triages daily.
- Perform 1-7 deliveries or C-sections per day, typically averaging 3.
- Deliver 24-hour call coverage, often as the only OB on call in the district's sole labor and delivery facility.
- Address inpatient calls for vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and GYN surgeries.
- Work in a high-volume environment with approximately 2200 deliveries per year.
