Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Obstetrician/Gynecologist for a locum tenens assignment in Iowa, starting Jan 2, 2026. This 6-week opportunity involves inpatient hospital on-call coverage with 24-hour shifts during the first and second weeks of January, including both weekday and weekend call. Candidates with ABOG board certification and C-section experience are highly preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide on-call inpatient hospital coverage for labor and delivery
  • Manage deliveries (80-90 annually, lower census)
  • Perform cesarean sections and post-operative care
  • Handle mother-baby care during call periods
  • Respond to emergent obstetric and gynecologic cases as needed

Additional Information
  • Must hold an active Iowa medical license
  • ABOG board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required
  • C-section experience highly preferred
  • Controlled Substances Registration (CSR) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required
  • No schedule flexibility; coverage specifically needed for stated dates
