Schedule:
OB On-Call Hospitalist: Monday-Thursday 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, Friday noon–7:00 AM, weekends Saturday 7:00 AM–Monday 7:00 AM; must be onsite within 20 minutes of request, not in-house.
Clinic-Based: Monday-Thursday 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, Friday 7:00 AM–noon; includes inpatient duties, Gyn surgeries, deliveries, and clinic visits.
Assignment includes specific blocks between Dec 26, 2025, and Jun 22, 2026.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide OB hospitalist coverage, managing deliveries and emergent situations during on-call hours
Perform inpatient duties, gynecologic surgeries, and deliveries during scheduled clinic hours
Conduct patient evaluations, consultations, and follow-up care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
Collaborate with certified nurse midwives and women’s health advanced practice providers
Respond to C-section requests as needed based on call schedule
Ensure timely and effective communication with the healthcare team
Maintain required documentation and adhere to clinical protocols
Additional Information
Illinois medical license required
Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Previous experience in a hospitalist and clinic-based obstetrics/gynecology setting preferred
