Job Description

We are seeking an Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician for an exciting 40-day assignment with our client in Indiana, starting Jun 1, 2026. This role involves in-house 12 and 24-hour shifts, focusing on OB triage, labor management, performing deliveries, and responding to inpatient OBGYN concerns. Providers should ideally be able to commit to a minimum of two shifts per month, with call shared among a group of laborists and generalists.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Handle in-house shifts only, primarily 12-hour laborist positions.
  • Manage OB Triage (outpatient).
  • Take a minimum of two shifts per month.
  • Share call with a group of laborists and generalists.
  • Perform no in-office clinics.
  • Conduct triage patient evaluation, including admission and discharge.
  • Provide labor management, assisting generalists during weekdays and serving as the primary MD for labor and delivery evenings and weekends.
  • Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
  • Respond to immediate inpatient OBGYN concerns and patient needs.
  • Evaluate ER OBGYN patients who necessitate an OBGYN consultation.
  • Manage inpatient evaluation of all OB patients who present as unattached or MFM transfers.
  • Round on antepartum OB patients on weekends and provide immediate response to antepartum patient needs.
  • Perform circumcisions for infants in NICU/Special Care Nursery.
