Job Description

 We are seeking a skilled OB/GYN Physician for a locum tenens position at a Hospital in Mississippi. This 32-day assignment begins on 08/15/2025, with potential for extension. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with deliveries, rounding, GYN consults, some GYN surgeries, and ectopic procedures. The work schedule is flexible, offering 12-hour shifts (day or night) Monday through Friday, or 24-hour shifts if preferred. This opportunity allows for mentoring residents, performing C-sections as needed, and attending to GYN cases. The role requires proficiency in Epic EMR and the ability to handle high-risk deliveries and newborn nursery rounds during day shifts.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform deliveries, including high-risk cases

• Conduct rounds on newborn nursery during day shifts

• Provide GYN consultations and perform some GYN surgeries

• Handle ectopic procedures

• Perform C-sections as needed

• Mentor residents

• Utilize Epic EMR for patient management and record-keeping

• Maintain a high standard of patient care and satisfaction

• Collaborate with hospital staff and other healthcare professionals

• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in Mississippi

• Proficiency in Epic EMR required

• Hysterectomies are not included in this role
