Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Obstetrician/Gynecologist for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This opportunity starts on Feb 2, 2026, and features a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule with 24-hour continuous call coverage. Providers are not required to remain on-site for the duration of the call, and the hospital is equipped with a nursery and transfer capabilities for higher acuity cases.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide 24-hour call coverage for obstetric and gynecological services
  • Manage patients in a hospital setting with a nursery
  • Evaluate and care for mothers and infants, with protocols for transfer if higher levels of care are required
  • Respond to emergent obstetric and gynecologic cases as needed
  • Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure quality patient care throughout the assignment


Additional Information

  • Must hold an active North Carolina medical license
  • Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required
  • Required certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • OB GYN background necessary
