Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Physician specializing in Obstetrics/Gynecology for a 4-day assignment in North Carolina, starting Mar 23, 2026. This role involves comprehensive 24hr call shifts, focusing on rounding on patients, managing emergent C-sections and vaginal deliveries, and performing emergent GYN procedures.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Round on patients.
  • Provide on-call coverage for emergent C-sections and vaginal deliveries.
  • Perform emergent GYN procedures.
  • Manage low risk pregnancy cases and perform OB ultrasounds.
  • Handle routine deliveries including vaginal and low forceps.
  • Make critical decisions for c-sections.
  • Address complicated deliveries such as c-sections, breech presentations, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs.
  • Perform repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations.
  • Conduct office/minor gynecology procedures.
  • Execute surgical gynecology procedures, including open, laparoscopic, and operative/major cases.
  • Note: High risk deliveries will only be emergent; the facility does not have a NICU but features a nursery.
  • Anticipate a typical census of 1-3 deliveries per 24-hour period.
