Job Description

We are seeking an Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician for a 50-day assignment in North Carolina, starting May 21, 2026. This role involves rounding on patients, providing 24-hour call coverage post-rounding for emergent C-sections, vaginal deliveries, and urgent GYN procedures. The ideal Physician will manage a caseload including low-risk pregnancies, routine and complicated deliveries, and various office/minor and surgical gynecology procedures.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Round on patients and provide 24-hour call coverage post-rounding.
  • Manage emergent C-sections and vaginal deliveries.
  • Perform emergent GYN procedures.
  • Handle high-risk deliveries on an emergent basis
  • Perform and interpret OB Ultrasounds.
  • Execute routine vaginal deliveries, low forceps deliveries, and make decisions for C-sections.
  • Manage complicated deliveries including C-sections, breech presentations, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs.
  • Repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerations.
  • Perform office/minor gynecology procedures such as IUD insertions, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP.
  • Conduct surgical gynecology procedures, including open and laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures like tubal ligation, LOAs, and chronal tubation.
  • Perform operative/major procedures including those for ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, and extensive LOAs.
  • Maintain laser certification.
  • Average monthly deliveries of 27, with 11 C-sections, and a typical census of 1-3 deliveries per 24-hour period.
