Job Description

We are seeking an Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician for an urgent 7-day assignment in North Carolina, commencing Jul 27, 2026. This critical role involves rounding on patients, providing on-call coverage for emergent C-sections, vaginal deliveries, and emergent GYN procedures. The assignment requires immediate responsiveness, with the physician housed in hospital apartments adjacent to the facility.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Round on patients daily.
  • Provide on-call coverage for emergent C-sections and vaginal deliveries.
  • Be available for emergent GYN procedures.
  • Perform required procedures including: Low risk pregnancy, OB Ultrasounds, Routine delivery (Vaginal, Low forceps, Decision-making for c-section), Complicated delivery (C-section, Breech, Multiple births, Abruptions, VBAC's), and Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations.
  • Conduct office and minor gynecology procedures such as IUD insertion, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP.
  • Execute surgical gynecology procedures including Open, Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor, and Operative/major. Laser certification is required.
  • Manage a nursery facility. High risk deliveries will only be emergent, as there is no NICU at this facility.
  • Respond within 20 minutes to calls, adhering to hospital bylaws, while housed in hospital apartments adjacent to the facility.
