Responsibilities and Duties
Provide immediate response to OB emergencies
Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries
Manage obstetric hemorrhage and hypertension crises
Evaluate fetal monitor strips as requested by nursing staff
Conduct OB triage evaluations and care for unassigned labor and delivery patients
Facilitate post-partum discharges
Participate in OB emergency simulation drills with the multidisciplinary OB team
Coordinate care across the full spectrum of obstetric cases, from antepartum to postpartum, in collaboration with nurse midwives, anesthesia, and emergency physicians
