Locum Tenens Physician - OB/GYN Needed in NE

Job Description

We are seeking an Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician for a 9-day assignment in Nebraska, starting May 20, 2026. This role involves an intensive schedule with providers typically covering 12-hour shifts within a two weeks on, two weeks off rotation. The successful candidate will manage deliveries, respond to OB emergencies, perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries, and coordinate comprehensive patient care from antepartum to postpartum.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage deliveries.
• Provide immediate availability for OB emergencies.
• Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
• Address hemorrhage and hypertension crisis situations.
• Perform fetal monitor strip evaluations as requested by RNs.
• Conduct OB triage evaluations.
• Care for unassigned Labor & Delivery patients.
• Facilitate post-partum discharges.
• Participate in OB Emergency Simulation Drills with the OB Team (Nursing, OB, Anesthesia).
• Coordinate care with the entire team, from antepartum to postpartum, including certified nurse midwives and ED physicians.
• Handle hospital rounding and follow-up.
