Job Description

We are seeking an Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician for a 10-day assignment in Nebraska, starting Jul 1, 2026. This role involves working 12-hour shifts, 7a-7a, following a constant rotation of two weeks on and two weeks off. The physician will be responsible for a range of duties including managing OB emergencies, conducting vaginal and cesarean deliveries, performing OB triage evaluations, and facilitating post-partum discharges.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide OB Hospitalist coverage, working 12-hour shifts in a constant rotation, typically two weeks on and two weeks off.
  • Maintain immediate availability for OB emergencies.
  • Perform vaginal and Cesarean deliveries.
  • Manage hemorrhage cases.
  • Address hypertension crisis situations.
  • Evaluate fetal monitor strips as per RN request.
  • Conduct OB Triage evaluations.
  • Care for unassigned Labor & Delivery patients.
  • Facilitate post-partum discharges.
  • Participate in OB Emergency Simulation Drills with the OB Team (Nursing, OB, Anesthesia).
  • Coordinate care with the entire care team, from antepartum to postpartum, including certified nurse midwives and ED physicians.
  • Handle hospital rounding and follow-up cases.
