Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Obstetrician/Gynecologist for a locum tenens assignment in New York, starting Jan 1, 2026. This full-time clinic role includes out-of-house call coverage (4 shifts per month) and runs for 84 days. Candidates should have GYN surgical experience, although such cases are uncommon in this setting.

  • Schedule: Clinic Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with 2 weeknight call shifts per weekend and weekend call 2 weekends per month. If no clinic, assignment will include 10-14 days of call minimum. All call is out of house.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide comprehensive outpatient care in obstetrics and gynecology
  • Participate in a rotating call schedule as outlined
  • Perform GYN surgical procedures as needed
  • Manage prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care
  • Document encounters using Allscripts EMR system
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams to ensure high-quality patient care

Additional Information
  • Active New York medical license required
  • Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required
  • GYN surgical experience necessary, though procedures are rare in this setting
