Locum Tenens Physician - OB/GYN Needed in NY

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician for an urgent 36-day assignment with our client in New York, commencing Apr 2, 2026. This role involves 24-hour out-of-house call coverage, ideally from Thursday morning to Monday morning, managing emergency deliveries, C-sections, circumcisions, and various emergency gynecological surgeries.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide 24-hour out-of-house call coverage, preferably from Thursday morning to Monday morning.
• Manage emergency deliveries, including those at 36+ weeks gestation (excluding high-risk cases).
• Perform C-sections and circumcisions.
• Handle emergency gynecological surgeries such as torsions, ectopics, and D&C procedures.
• Collaborate with a Certified Nurse Midwife who typically provides first call support.
• Adhere to a program with a C-section rate below 30% and a cutoff for deliveries at 36 weeks.

Additional Information

• Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required.
• EMR system used is Epic.
• Shift hours are 7am-7am for 24-hour shifts.
