Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Obstetrician-Gynecologist for a 43-day locum tenens assignment in Ohio, starting Feb 6, 2026. This opportunity involves 24-hour out-of-house call coverage every Monday and one weekend per month, supervising midwives during the week and providing primary on-call coverage during nights and weekends.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Supervise midwives during weekday day shifts (Monday-Friday 7am-7pm)
  • Serve as the primary on-call provider from 7pm-7am on Mondays and throughout weekend call
  • Manage all labor and delivery cases, including vaginal deliveries and VBACs
  • Respond to emergency gynecologic cases and surgeries
  • Handle patients presenting through the emergency department and emergent clinic calls (5-10 per shift)
  • Perform C-sections and rare gynecologic surgeries
  • Provide comprehensive care for all L&D and emergency GYN cases during call shifts

Additional Information
  • Must hold an active Ohio medical license
  • Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
  • Prior experience in supervising midwives and managing high-acuity L&D cases strongly preferred
