Job Description

We are seeking a board-certified Pediatric Hospitalist for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Texas beginning Jan 5, 2026. This week on/week off opportunity features 24-hour call from home and covers a inpatient pediatric floor, ED consults, and newborn couplet care with NNP support. The schedule offers both full-time (20 shifts/month) and part-time (10 shifts/month) options, providing flexible coverage for pediatric patients.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide care for pediatric patients on a inpatient floor
  • Respond to emergency department consultations for pediatric cases
  • Deliver newborn couplet care with neonatal nurse practitioner support
  • No nursery call or rounds required; NICU coverage is managed separately


Additional Information

  • Board certification in Pediatric Hospital Medicine required (no board-eligible candidates accepted)
  • Must have an active TX license or IMLC eligibility
  • At least 6 months of recent clinical experience in pediatric hospital medicine required
  • Cannot accept providers inactive clinically for more than 1 year
  • Prescreen questionnaire and CV in MM/YYYY format with all gaps explained are required
