Job Description

 We are seeking a skilled OB/GYN physician for a 28-day locum tenens assignment at a hospital in Texas. The assignment begins on 01/05/2026, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 8am to 5pm for clinical services. The role includes night call Monday through Friday and 24-hour on-call coverage on weekends, with hospital call coverage for approximately 7-10 days per month. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with both low and high-risk pregnancies, FHR interpretation, OB ultrasounds, and a range of clinical OBGYN services. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified physician to provide comprehensive care in a dynamic hospital setting.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide clinical OBGYN services during day shifts (25-30 patient encounters per shift)

• Manage low and high-risk pregnancies

• Perform and interpret FHR - NST/CST/FSE

• Conduct and interpret OB Ultrasounds (Screening)

• Handle routine deliveries (Vaginal, Low forceps, Decision-making for c-section)

• Perform office/minor gynecology procedures (IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.)

• Provide night call coverage Monday through Friday

• Offer 24-hour on-call coverage on weekends

• Participate in hospital call coverage (approximately 7-10 days per month)


Additional Information:

• Preferred skills include Targeted ultrasounds, Amniocentesis, complicated deliveries, repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations, and surgical gynecology

• Laser certification is a plus

• Clean malpractice record required

• Active Baptist privileges preferred

• Familiarity with Cerner EMR system

• Must be licensed in Texas
