Job Description
We are seeking an Occupational Medicine Physician Assistant for a 2-day locum tenens assignment in Kansas beginning Dec 11, 2025. This role features full-day shifts from 7:00am to 5:00pm, working alongside a collaborative clinical team to perform NFPA 1582 physicals and related occupational health testing.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct NFPA 1582 physicals for fire fighters
- Perform respirator and interim fire fighter clearance
- Read EKGs, review ultrasound and stress test results
- Complete clinical testing including hearing, vision, lab work, pulmonary function tests, cardiograms, and x-rays
- Perform mandatory hernia exams and optional rectal exams
- Collaborate with the PHS team to ensure high-quality patient care
Additional Information
- Kansas licensure required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Fire fighter physical and occupational medicine experience strongly preferred
- Must be able to read EKGs and review diagnostic test results
- Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP) accepted
