Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Oncology - Medical Needed in MA

Job Description

Our client in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse Practitioner for a 70-day assignment, commencing May 4, 2026. This vital role will involve shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, where you will manage new patient consults and follow-ups, primarily handling oncology and some hematology cases within their outpatient clinic and infusion center.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform new patient consults
• Conduct follow-up appointments
• Work within an outpatient clinic and infusion center
• Manage a case breakdown of 90% Oncology and 10% Hematology
• Oversee chemotherapy supervision and orders
• Perform central line management (e.g., Port-a-Cath, PICC line care)
• Manage oncologic emergencies (e.g., tumor lysis syndrome, spinal cord compression, neutropenic fever)
