Job Description

 We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant specializing in Medical Oncology for a locum tenens position in California through Barton Associates. This 120-day assignment begins on 07/28/2025, and requires expertise in Medical Oncology with a focus on breast cancer. The ideal candidate will work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, at a Hospital setting. The PA will be working with medical oncology and breast surgery patients, handling both in-person and telehealth appointments. Proficiency with Epic software and technical savviness are highly valued for this role. This opportunity offers the potential for extension beyond the initial assignment period.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide comprehensive care for medical oncology patients, with a focus on breast cancer

• Conduct patient examinations, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans

• Collaborate with the oncology team to ensure optimal patient care

• Perform both in-person and telehealth appointments as needed

• Utilize Epic software for patient records and treatment planning

• Stay updated on the latest advancements in medical oncology and breast cancer treatment

• Maintain clear communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members

• Adhere to all relevant health and safety protocols

• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and care conferences as required


Additional Information:
