Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Hematologist-Oncologist for a locum tenens assignment in Colorado. This opportunity starts on Mar 23, 2026, and spans 95 days, with a clinic-based schedule on Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, plus occasional overnight and weekend call coverage. The physician will primarily care for hematology patients, with additional responsibilities for oncology patients while on call.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and conditions using history, physical examination, and diagnostics
  • Communicate treatment options, address patient concerns, and prevent illness or injury with a patient-centered approach
  • Accurately and completely document in the medical record for ongoing care, compliance, quality, safety, and billing
  • Provide leadership and feedback to the clinical care team
  • Consult with colleagues and refer patients when clinically appropriate
  • Maintain availability for office visits, phone calls, electronic communication, and on-call coverage as outlined in policy
  • Support continuous organizational improvement in quality, safety, and patient experience
  • Participate in ongoing learning and professional development
  • Uphold the mission, vision, and values of the organization
  • Perform additional specialty-related duties as required

Additional Information
  • Must hold a DO or MD degree from an accredited medical or osteopathic school
  • Residency training in specialty required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Minimum 3–5 years of post-training experience preferred
  • Must be licensed to practice in Colorado
