Job Description

Our client in Colorado is seeking a skilled Medical Oncologist Physician for a 130-day assignment starting Apr 6, 2026. This role involves a Monday-Friday, 8a-5p schedule where you will diagnose and treat diseases, communicate treatment options, prevent illness, and ensure accurate medical record documentation. Key responsibilities include prescribing chemotherapy, overseeing inpatient services with APP support, and managing a shortened outpatient clinic schedule, also with APP and Nurse Navigation support.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Diagnose diseases, injuries, and other conditions, providing or prescribing appropriate treatment based on history, physical exam, and diagnostics.
  • Communicate treatment options to patients, address concerns, and answer questions, leveraging expertise to prevent illness and injury.
  • Accurately and completely document in the medical record for continuing care, compliance, quality, safety, and billing purposes.
  • Provide appropriate leadership and feedback to the clinical team.
  • Consult with colleagues and refer patients to other sources of care when clinically appropriate.
  • Maintain availability for office visits, phone calls, electronic communication, and on-call coverage as outlined.
  • Participate in ongoing organizational efforts for continuous improvement in quality, safety, and patient experience.
  • Engage in continuous learning and self-improvement.
  • Promote the mission, vision, and values of the client.
  • Prescribe chemotherapy and oversee inpatient service with APP support.
  • Manage a shortened outpatient clinic schedule with APP and Nurse Navigation support.
  • Perform additional duties as defined and required by the specialty.
