We are seeking a skilled Medical Oncologist for a 14-day locum tenens assignment in Montana, starting 05/19/2025. This opportunity involves working at a hospital, providing oncology services over three separate periods in May, June, and July. The schedule is primarily Monday to Thursday from 8am to 5pm, with flexible hours on Fridays. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing general oncology cases, new referrals, and both new and ongoing treatment patients. This role utilizes the Epic EMR system and offers the possibility of extension beyond the initial assignment period.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide comprehensive oncology care for new and existing patients
• Evaluate and manage new patient referrals
• Develop and oversee treatment plans for cancer patients
• Conduct follow-up appointments for patients undergoing treatment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records using Epic EMR
• Participate in tumor boards and care conferences as needed
• Stay updated on current oncology practices and treatment protocols
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis
• Manage administrative tasks during flexible Friday hours
Additional Information:
• Montana medical license required
• Board certification in Medical Oncology preferred
• Experience in managing a diverse range of oncology cases required
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
