Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Physician - Optometrist for an engaging 48-day locum tenens assignment with our client in Alabama. This role is scheduled to commence on Mar 9, 2026, with a consistent daily shift from 8a - 5p. The chosen Physician - Optometrist will be responsible for a variety of basic optometrist cases, including the diagnosis and management of common eye conditions such as refractive errors, dry eye syndrome, and conjunctivitis, alongside prescribing eyeglasses and handling cases involving amblyopia, with no surgical duties required.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Diagnose and manage common eye conditions including refractive errors (nearsightedness, farsightedness).
• Manage cases of dry eye syndrome and conjunctivitis (pink eye).
• Prescribe eyeglasses and other visual aids.
• Address cases involving amblyopia.
• Provide non-surgical optometric care.
