We are seeking a licensed Optometrist for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting on Aug 4, 2025. This position involves full-time work from Monday to Friday, focusing on exams, yearly check-ups, and the diagnosis and treatment of vision conditions. The successful candidate will join a team serving a predominantly Spanish-speaking patient base, with support from translators and Spanish-speaking medical assistants.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage care for a patient base that is 75% Spanish-speaking; translator services available
  • Utilize Epic EMR system to document patient interactions and treatments
  • Engage with a patient demographic that predominantly uses Medical/Medicaid

Additional Information
  • Must possess an active CA DEA and Furnishing license
  • Required Board Certifications: Optometry
  • Experience in FQHC, Rural Health, or IHS settings is advantageous
  • At least one year of recent relevant experience is required
