We are seeking an Optometrist for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in California starting Oct 27, 2025. Responsibilities and Duties
Perform comprehensive eye exams and yearly check-ups
Diagnose and treat a range of vision conditions
Provide care to a predominantly Spanish-speaking patient base, utilizing translators and Spanish-speaking medical assistants as needed
Serve a patient panel that is primarily Medical/Medicaid insured
Accurately document all patient encounters in Epic EMR
Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure quality patient care
Additional Information
Must be licensed to practice optometry in California
Active California DEA and furnishing license required
Board certification in Optometry required
Locum experience and FQHC, Rural Health, or IHS experience are favorable
Minimum one year of recent clinical experience required; candidates with recent gaps in practice will not be considered
