We are seeking an Optometrist for a locum tenens assignment with our client in Indiana. This opportunity begins on Feb 2, 2026, and spans 240 days, offering full-time coverage with day shifts Monday through Friday. The Optometrist will provide primary vision care for patients of all ages in a dynamic outpatient setting.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide primary vision care to patients of all ages
  • Manage acute and long-term vision care cases
  • Perform comprehensive visual examinations
  • Review and update patient charts and records
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests
  • Identify and assess vision issues
  • Formulate and plan patient prognosis
  • Consult with other health professionals and make referrals as needed
  • Prepare comprehensive care plans
  • Educate patients on vision health
  • Record findings and updates in EMR
  • Ensure continuity of care and advise on home care between visits
  • Provide telephone consultation or triage as needed

Additional Information
  • Indiana Optometry license required
  • Board certification in Optometry required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certifications required
  • Experience with EMR (other systems)
  • Must be comfortable seeing patients of all ages
