We are seeking an experienced Optometrist for a locum tenens assignment in New York, beginning Dec 29, 2025, for a duration of 60 days. This role offers both full-time and part-time schedules, with shifts primarily Monday through Friday and extended hours on Thursday. The ideal candidate will be comfortable practicing independently, managing a full case volume, and performing both clinical and administrative duties.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive optometric care to patients as a sole practitioner
  • Manage a full case load efficiently and independently
  • Complete EHR documentation for all patient encounters
  • Perform administrative tasks as required
  • Adhere to relevant clinical protocols and standards


Additional Information

  • New York optometry license required
  • 2-3 years of optometry experience necessary
  • Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification required
  • Must be comfortable with EHR documentation and some administrative work
