We are seeking an experienced Optometrist for a 1-day locum tenens assignment in Pennsylvania, starting Dec 27, 2025. This flexible opportunity allows you to work either Saturday or Sunday, with shift hours from 10:00am to 6:00pm, providing routine optometry care in a modern clinical setting.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and detect potential eye diseases or abnormalities
  • Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids as needed
  • Provide expert advice on proper eye care practices and recommend treatment plans
  • Refer patients to Ophthalmologists as needed
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic health record software
  • Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and technologies
  • Utilize autorefractor and optomap technologies to expedite patient volume
  • See mostly routine optometry cases, with more complex cases managed at nearby hospitals

Additional Information
  • Proven experience in optometric services required
  • Specialization or interest in optometry is a plus
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record software preferred
  • Understanding of billing principles related to optometry
