Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Optometrist for an 80-day assignment with our client in Pennsylvania, starting Apr 27, 2026. This role involves comprehensive patient evaluations for surgical suitability, along with managing conditions such as glaucoma and cataracts, and providing post-operative care. The schedule for this role is 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct 10-minute patient evaluations, seeing approximately 30 patients per day.
  • Perform initial evaluations to confirm patients meet criteria for surgical procedures, receiving referrals from other Optometry practices.
  • Collaborate with technicians who handle refractions and glare tests in two dedicated rooms.
  • Manage long-term glaucoma patients, including medication management and follow-up appointments.
  • Oversee post-operative surgical patients for conditions like cataracts and glaucoma.
  • Conduct preliminary evaluations for surgical procedures, glaucoma management, cataracts management, and dry eye.
  • Provide follow-up care and prescribe medication as needed.
  • All refractions and glare tests are completed by technicians; the Optometrist will sign off on refractions.
