We are seeking a qualified Optometrist for a 36-day locum tenens assignment in Virginia, starting on Sep 8, 2025. This role involves conducting eye exams, diagnosing and treating ocular diseases, and advising patients on follow-up care, primarily within assisted living and nursing home settings. The work schedule is set for weekdays from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with flexible workdays available.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide professional advice to patients, their families, and facility staff regarding eye health and follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with staff across multiple facilities to ensure consistent patient care.


Additional Information

  • Geriatric and nursing home experience is highly preferred.
  • Must hold a valid VA license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Comfortable traveling to locations within a 2-hour radius of the central hub.
  • Proficiency with Nextgen EMR system is required to document and manage patient information efficiently.
