We are seeking a skilled Dentist specializing in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery for a locum tenens assignment in California. This 120-day role starts on Sep 8, 2025, and features day shifts from Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm. The position focuses on managing TMJ disorders, including diagnostics and treatment through specialized injections.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Diagnose and treat temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders.
  • Perform 6-10 TMJ injections per day and additional trigger point injections.
  • Assess and manage jaw pain and related conditions in collaboration with the HNS department.
  • Fabricate and deliver bite guards.
  • Handle new patient assessments and splint deliveries.
  • Provide comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.

Additional Information
  • Must be licensed in California.
  • Experience with Epic EMR system.
  • Proficiency in managing TMJ cases, including regular TMJ injections, is essential.
  • The ability to differentiate between muscular and joint-related pain is critical.
