We are seeking an Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner for a 65-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Oct 6, 2025. This full-time role offers a Monday through Friday schedule, with a primary focus on surgical assist for orthopedic procedures and one day per week in clinic. Candidates must have recent and consistent orthopedic experience, be comfortable assisting in surgeries for hips, knees, and dislocations, and hold required certifications.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide surgical assistance to orthopedic physicians 3-4 days per week, focusing on cases involving hips, knees, and dislocations
• Conduct clinic appointments one day per week
• Collaborate with the orthopedic team to deliver coordinated patient care
• Ensure accurate documentation using Cerner EMR
• Maintain compliance with healthcare protocols and standards

Additional Information

• Active California Nurse Practitioner license required
• Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Must demonstrate recent, consistent experience in orthopedic settings within the past 12-24 months
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR preferred
