We are seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon for a 20-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting on Oct 11, 2025. This ongoing opportunity involves 24-hour call shifts (7a-7a) with a schedule of 5-7 shifts per month, providing coverage to fill gaps with the existing surgical team.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide orthopaedic surgical coverage during 24-hour call shifts
  • Respond to calls from a hotel with a 30-minute response time
  • Perform 1-2 procedures per day as needed
  • Manage ortho-trauma cases (ortho-trauma fellowship/training preferred but not required)
  • Coordinate care with the surgical team and support staff
  • Utilize Epic EMR for documentation


Additional Information

  • Must have active California medical license
  • Required board certification: Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Fluoroscopy Certification required
  • 1-3 years of experience preferred
  • Flexible scheduling; week/month blocks available
