Job Description

We are seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon Physician for a 30-day assignment in California, starting May 21, 2026. This role involves 24-hour call shifts with some additional weekday morning clinic hours, primarily covering general orthopedic procedures and ER call at a trauma facility. The physician will manage a variety of cases, including fractures and dislocations, and follow up with their own patients in clinic.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide 24-hour orthopedic call coverage for the ER at a hospital with trauma designation.
  • Cover all general orthopedic procedures.
  • Be comfortable seeing your own patients for follow-up in clinic while on-call, typically following your own patients after procedures.
  • Manage general orthopedic surgery call cases, including fractures, dislocations, and issues related to the knee, hip, shoulder, and elbow.
  • Follow up with your own patients the following day in clinic or see on-call patients for a few hours in the morning on most weekdays once acclimated.


Additional Information

  • Board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery.
  • EMR system: Cerner.
  • Must either have or be willing to immediately obtain a California temporary Fluoroscopy permit.
