Job Description

Our client in Iowa is seeking a skilled Orthopedic Surgeon for a 91-day assignment beginning Mar 13, 2026. This role entails a Monday-Friday 8a-5p schedule, focusing on comprehensive orthopedic care including clinic days, inpatient rounds, ED consults, and performing a wide range of surgical procedures such as total joint replacements, trauma repair, and sports medicine, along with providing trauma/orthopedic call coverage.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform total hip, knee, and shoulder replacement procedures.
  • Conduct hand, wrist, knee, shoulder, hip, ankle, and foot surgical procedures.
  • Manage trauma injuries, fracture care, sports medicine, and other orthopedic disorders.
  • Engage in clinical and surgical responsibilities.
  • Provide trauma/orthopedic call coverage.
  • Manage clinic days Monday-Friday from 8a-5p, with patient appointment lengths varying from 10-30 minutes.
  • Round on post-operative patients and handle inpatient/ED consults.
  • Collaborate with one nurse per provider, along with cast techs, reception staff, and surgery schedulers.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Orthopaedic Surgery is required.
  • EMR System: Epic
  • This role supports a Trauma facility.
