We are seeking an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon for a 5-day locum tenens assignment in Kentucky. This opportunity begins on Oct 21, 2025, and requires 24-hour call coverage, providing primary orthopedic care including trauma, joint, and fracture repairs. The assignment involves being the sole ortho doctor on call, with responsibilities for callbacks, rounding, consults, and follow-ups. Experience with Meditech EHR is required, and candidates must hold current board certification in Orthopaedic Surgery as well as ACLS and ATLS certifications.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Serve as the primary orthopedic surgeon on 24-hour call
  • Respond to callbacks for trauma, joint, and fracture repairs
  • Conduct daily rounding on orthopedic patients
  • Perform patient consults and follow-up evaluations
  • Manage patient care independently without advanced practice provider support

Additional Information

  • Must be board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Valid Kentucky medical license required
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certifications required
  • Familiarity with Meditech EHR
