We are seeking an Orthopaedic Surgeon for a 90-day locum tenens assignment in Maine, starting Jan 1, 2026. This opportunity involves 24-hour ortho trauma call coverage from Thursday at 5pm through Monday at 7am. The ideal candidate is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery, experienced as the sole trauma surgeon on call, and holds current ACLS certification.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Respond promptly to trauma alerts and emergencies
  • Perform surgical interventions and postoperative management as required
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Additional Information
  • Board certification in Orthopaedic Surgery required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
  • Must be licensed to practice in Maine
  • Experience as the sole trauma surgeon on call is essential
