We are seeking a board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina, starting Jan 5, 2026. This role requires a skilled arthroplasty specialist to manage a variety of procedures, including primary hip and knee replacements, and revision surgeries. Weekly responsibilities include clinic consultations, follow-ups, and operating room blocks, providing comprehensive orthopedic care.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Conduct consultations and follow-ups in the clinic, managing up to 20 patients per day
  • Perform an average of 32 surgeries per month, including:
  • Primary hip and knee replacements (approximately 3-4 per month)
  • Bi- or tri-compartmental knee arthroplasties (approximately 4-5 per month)
  • Revision surgeries (approximately 0.4-0.5 per month)
  • Participate in OR blocks, ensuring high standards of care and surgical precision
  • Provide expert care in Orthopedic Surgery, adhering to the highest professional standards

Additional Information
  • Board certification in Orthopaedic Surgery required
  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensing in North Carolina
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications needed
  • Proficiency with the Epic EMR system is essential
  • Flexible start date pending NC license issuance
