Job Description

We are seeking a board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina, specializing in arthroplasty. This opportunity starts on Jan 5, 2026, and includes clinic days and OR blocks. The schedule consists of 3 clinic days and 2 OR blocks each week, with additional call duties once per weekday and weekend per month.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Conduct consultations and follow-ups, managing up to 20 patients per day in the clinic.
  • Perform an average of 32 surgeries per month, including:
  • Primary hip and knee replacements
  • Bi- or tri-compartmental knee arthroplasties
  • Revision surgeries
  • Utilize Epic EMR system for patient management.

Additional Information
  • Required Board Certifications: Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Must be fellowship-trained in arthroplasty.
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required.
  • Must hold or be eligible for a North Carolina medical license.
