 We are seeking a skilled Physician specializing in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery for a locum tenens position at a Trauma Center in California. This 60-day assignment begins on 07/15/2025, with a potential for extension. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling all cases, including pelvic and acetabular fractures, malunions/nonunions, and periprosthetic fractures. The work schedule includes out-of-house call shifts and fracture room coverage. As a locum tenens provider, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality orthopedic trauma care, performing surgeries, and contributing to the overall patient experience at the hospital.

Location: California

Facility Type: Hospital (Trauma Center)

Start Date: 07/15/2025

LOA: 60 days (with potential for extension)

Provider Type Needed: Physician (Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon)

Schedule: 7a-7p and 7a-7a out-of-house call (30-minute response time) Fracture room (onsite): Tuesdays/Fridays 8a-5p, Wednesdays 12p-5p


Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide comprehensive orthopedic trauma care to patients

• Perform surgeries and procedures related to orthopedic trauma

• Handle all cases, including pelvic and acetabular fractures, malunions/nonunions, and periprosthetic fractures

• Respond to out-of-house calls within 30 minutes

• Provide coverage for fracture room as scheduled

• Collaborate with other medical professionals in the trauma care team

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Epic EMR system

• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures

• Participate in patient rounds and follow-up care

• Ensure high-quality patient care and satisfaction


Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in the state of California

• Experience with Epic EMR system is preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced trauma center environment
