Job Description

We are seeking an Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in California starting Nov 17, 2025. This role offers a full-time Monday through Friday clinic schedule with weekend call coverage. You will provide care for a broad range of orthopedic cases, with a focus on sports medicine, total joints, trauma, and fracture management. Experience in sports medicine or rural health is highly valued.

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours in clinic between two clinics; weekend call coverage

Responsibilities and Duties

• Evaluate and manage patients with orthopedic complaints, including sports injuries, total joint issues, trauma, fracture care, and non-operative spine conditions
• Provide support for both elective sports medicine and total joint surgeries, as well as trauma cases
• Participate in weekend call coverage as scheduled
• Collaborate with physicians and other clinicians to deliver comprehensive orthopedic care
• Document clinical activities using the Cerner EMR system

Additional Information

• Required board certification: Orthopaedic Surgery
• California license required
• Sports medicine or FQHC/rural health experience is a plus
