Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Pathologist Physician for a 120-day assignment in Hawaii, starting May 11, 2026. The incoming physician will work on-site, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with no call or weekend responsibilities. Your duties will involve performing frozen sections, signing out surgical pathology, non-gynecological cytology, and peripheral smears, and conducting autopsies while collaborating with clinical laboratory personnel.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform frozen sections.
  • Sign out surgical pathology, non-gynecological cytology, and peripheral smears.
  • Perform autopsies.
  • Collaborate with clinical laboratory personnel to ensure high-quality laboratory services using best practices in laboratory medicine.
  • Support laboratory and hospital quality improvement and accreditation initiatives.
  • Provide consultations to clinicians.


Additional Information

  • Board certified in AP/CP.
  • Strong surgical pathology and cytopathology skills.
  • Clinical lab experience OR experience as a Medical Director of a lab section.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years post-residency experience preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills for frequent interaction with physicians, hospital administration, and laboratory staff.
  • MD or DO degree.
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Hawaii.
  • Epic EMR system utilized.
