Job Description

Our client in Hawaii is seeking a Pathologist to begin a 120-day assignment starting Jun 1, 2026. This role involves a schedule of 8a - 5p, where you will perform duties such as frozen sections, signing out surgical and cytology cases, performing autopsies, and providing clinical consultations to ensure high quality laboratory services.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform frozen sections
  • Sign out surgical / cytology (non-gyn) / peripheral smears
  • Perform autopsies
  • Work with clinical lab personnel to ensure high quality laboratory services using best practices in laboratory medicine
  • Support laboratory and hospital quality improvement and accreditation initiatives
  • Provide consultations to clinicians


Additional Information

  • EMR: Epic
  • Board certification in anatomic and clinical pathology required
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in Hawaii
  • Strong surgical pathology/cytopathology skills and clinical lab experience or experience as a Medical Director of a lab section
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills required
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years post-residency experience preferred
