Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Pathologist for a locum tenens assignment in Illinois. This two-day opportunity begins on Dec 24, 2025, and features 9a-5p shifts on Wednesday and Friday. The ideal candidate will be AP/CP board certified and comfortable serving as the sole pathologist, handling a variety of surgical pathology and cytology cases.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Perform all grossing and assume sole responsibility as the pathologist on site
  • Sign out bone marrow biopsies, general surgical pathology, and cytology cases
  • Interpret peripheral blood smears and conduct crystal exams
  • Review and sign out clinic biopsies, including general surgery, urology, and gynecology
  • Utilize Meditech and Softpath EMR systems for documentation and workflow

Additional Information
  • AP/CP Board Certification required; Cytopathology certification preferred
  • Active Illinois medical license required
  • DEA certification required
